With a fishing umbrella, remember it’s not just about the rain, it’s also about the sun! When you’re out all day long enjoying the great outdoors, you really need to think about skin protection. That’s why we have designed this new dark green 3-in-1 UV Umbrella Bivvy Shelter with a metallic UPF50+ UV protective inner coating. It will block the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays and protect you from rain, wind, and sun.

Clever Design!

There are some really clever design features to bring to your attention. The first thing you’ll note is that one of the ribs is shorter than the others. This is intentional and is for two reasons. It gives greater headroom at the front when you move in and out of the umbrella, giving slightly improved visibility to the front. Not only that but when configured as a fishing bivvy umbrella, the umbrella is turned around 180 degrees such that the shorter rib lays down on the ground. Contact with the ground is thus made with the ribs on either side of the shorter rib, which makes the bivvy umbrella more level and more stable.

On the underside of the canopy, there is a long zip which encircles about 3/4 of the canopy edge. This is used when the umbrella is configured as a shelter umbrella to attach the wind shelter panel with its two clear PVC side viewing windows. There are also two shorter zips, one on each side. These are used when the umbrella is configured as a fishing bivvy umbrella to attach the two bivvy side panels.

At the tips of each alternate rib, you’ll notice how the ribs have been twisted into a loop. This is where you can attach the nylon guylines. There’s also a gap molded into the cap at the top of the umbrella. Again, this is so that you can attach the nylon guylines.

Superb quality!

The 3-in-1 UV Umbrella Bivvy Shelter has a two-piece coated steel shaft. This incorporates an angle tilt mechanism and a thumbwheel twist-action height adjustment clamp. The maximum height from top to ground is approx. 2 meters.

The bottom pole diameter is about 22 mm and the top pole is 25 mm.

It also includes steel pegs and nylon guylines so that you can secure it in the wind.

The fabric of this 3-in-1 UV Umbrella Bivvy Shelter is a nice quality, fully waterproof 1500mm HH PU coated, 210D Oxford Polyester – dark green on the outside with a metallic silver UPF50+ UV protective coating on the inside.

We are confident that the quality of this UV Umbrella Bivvy Shelter will impress. You’ll notice the quality of the stitching and how we have reinforced the corners of the wind shelter panel. Around the lower edge of the UV Shelter Fishing Umbrella’s wind shelter panel, notice the elasticated nylon webbing strips with steel “D” rings for pegging securely to the ground. We’ve used double stitching to ensure that they will give, rather than break in strong gusts of wind. And finally, it also comes with a drawstring closing carry bag with a shoulder strap.

Span diameter (horizontal): 190 cm

The ribs are made of solid 4mm steel, each with a length of 110 cm. The canopy when measured from one rib tip, up and over the top to the opposite rib tip is 220 cm. Note, that when measured on the underside horizontally from one rib tip to the opposite rib tip, the measurement is 190 cm (approx).
